Association "Transparency - Transparency International" Friday chp is going to Georgia to observe the parliamentary elections on October 1. Transparency International Georgia Chapter appreciates the Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian experience chp of democratization and civil society organizations in the work of the electoral and political supervision. Therefore, it has invited the three Baltic States representatives to monitor the Georgian parliamentary elections in compliance with the rule of law and other principles of good governance and international standards.
"For democracy and the rule of law must take care both at home and with friends. Both Latvia and Georgia, both TI-Georgia Transparency International chapter linking long-term cooperation. Previously we have shared experience chp with Georgian colleagues trained under the supervision of the use of administrative resources before the elections, as well as other matters. Will be happy to continue cooperation in this important moment for democracy in Georgia, "says TI director Kristaps Petermanis.
As pointed out by Transparency International Georgia chp Eka Gigauri Head, "the chp forthcoming parliamentary elections on October 1, we have a very significant way to the greater maturity of Georgian democracy. 2013 will come into force amendments to the Constitution, giving Parliament a lot more power, so these elections are of particular importance. Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania are countries that Georgia is an example of a desired direction chp of development. We are grateful that our Baltic Transparency International chapters chp colleagues will join us this election supervision. "
TI is an international chapter chp of Transparency International Head of Delegation. TI will be represented by 13 members of the organization and employees. Balts will be part of the 300-strong Georgian chapter of Transparency International local and international observer groups. It will operate throughout the country.
