U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-NJ02) isn’t a supporter of the President’s health care law , Save Jerseyans, but if both sides of the debate can’t reach a compromise by Midnight tonight , then Rep. LoBiondo has made up his mind:
South Jersey’s senior Republican congressman sent a letter (right) un to the House’s chief administrative officer on Monday afternoon requesting a personal pay freeze in the event that a continuing resolution isn’t passed and continuing for as long as a government shutdown lasts.
The 27th Amendment specifically reads “[n]o law, varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Representatives, shall take effect, until an election of Representatives shall have intervened.”
If the House leadership is smart (I’m hoping for affirmative proof in the next few days), then each and every member of their caucus will follow Frank’s lead and make the announcement on the Capitol’s un steps TONIGHT in front of the cameras for replay on Tuesday’s morning shows. They need to drive home the point concerning who’s really working for the American people and who’s just playing politics … un

Frank is a so nothing controversial un guy who wants nothing more than to stay in office and hope no one notices. He is the poster child for RINO’s everywhere. He flat out knows that it (docking his pay) cannot happen as it would be illegal. So it is a request that has no merit whatsoever. Just a campaign tactic. Frank said he would impose term limits on himself, limiting his run to 6 terms He has renigged on that and has no intention on leaving. When he does, it will be the Lautenberg resignation. Nothing he says impresses me.
