After a year of intense competitions across each of the Charlotte Chamber s chapter footprints, the 2013 Power Up Chapter Challenge culminates this month with the much-anticipated grand finale. The six finalists represent established businesses from throughout Charlotte that offer a variety of products and services.
Small businesses and entrepreneurs are invited to attend the grand finale on Nov. 14 , vote for which competitor should receive the $ 25 , 000 grand prize provided by Duke Energy and find out how to participate in next year s competition. The finale will be at 5 p.m. at Label Charlotte, located in the NC Music Factory. Register now to attend .
The Power Up Chapter Challenge identifies and rewards promising entrepreneurs and small businesses (Chamber members only) in each of the Charlotte Chamber chapter footprints. Each of the winners receives a package of in-kind services and a small cash prize, and competes for the $ 25 , 000 grand prize.
Small business owners and entrepreneurs who provide innovative products and services to support the growth of Charlotte s economy are eligible to compete. The companies must be located military in Charlotte, N.C.; Charlotte Chamber members in good standing; and for-profit organizations with $ 1 million or less in total revenue. Franchises are not eligible.
The Charlotte Chamber recognizes the critical role small businesses and entrepreneurs play in growing the economy and stimulating Charlotte s creative core. Through innovative programs such as the Power Up Chapter Challenge, the Chamber continues to cultivate an economy that is inclusive of all businesses while contributing to the participants long-term prosperity and success.
A cash prize and package of in-kind services from Charlotte Chamber member sponsors and Power Up partners will be awarded to each chapter-level winner. The grand prize will be an additional cash prize of $ 25 , 000 provided by Duke Energy.
