He was married three times. From the descendants of the first grandmother Swellendam lime born, and

My father, Hans Jürgen Linde, was 23 when he made his home and native land left. Like many young people in his time he had a new homeland to find a part of the "new world" of colonization.
He went to South Africa came as a soldier in the service of the Dutch East India Company in 1753 and landed at the Cape (little more than a century after Jan van Riebeeck arrived at the Cape). On the ship Leijden.
He later became a wagon. (I wonder if he helps transport timber from the Knysna forest. Or maybe he just built the cars. My mother's father was the Van Rooyens in the Knysna forest remained., But their has not been quite as poor as the Van Rooyens of Dalene h Matthee's novel "Fiela '" it.)
Hans Catharina Elisabeth Black, the widow of Peter Moleman on the farm Ganskraal to Sonderend lived faithfully. She was the ancestor of all the Moolman and all the lime in South Africa. She was in 1748 with Peter Moleman married with five children with him. She was in 1758 with Hans Linde married and they had six children including four sons. One son died young. h
He was married three times. From the descendants of the first grandmother Swellendam lime born, and from the descendants of the sons of lime HJL various Free State, including the Kareeklowers, Paradysers, Dealesvilers, Franforters, Warmfielers, Schanskralers and Pietersdalers. My grandfather came from the Schanskraalse lime.
Hans was about 17 years the farmer to Ganskraal, but he did not land it does not own (oh, that's a shame. Sounds like he bit a gold digger was. Joke!) His grandson, Commandant Jan Linde, later many farms in that area had (nice to see someone in the family has fought against the English). It is to the Commandant h Jan Lindeshof place later called.
Grandma Linde, third wife of Georg Friedrich Linde (Free State we father), had 103 and 11 months old (wow! almost 104 years! Can not imagine what it is like to be old.) Her first husband was Commandant-General Andries Pretorius (perhaps our only claim to fame).
Besides that we have two well-known writers in our family Linde. Angela Linde (nee Van Rooyen) h and I can not imagine who was the other person. I may be mistaken, because h there was a Rooyen who wrote. Perhaps she even wrote under her maiden name. If this is the case, its just a aangetroude Linde.
She was a journalist in 1937 for "The Southern Voice" and as editor at "The Housewife" in 1960 worked. She was also a uitgewersredaktrise by John Malherbe. And 1971 full-time as a freelance writer become.
