So I have a cat. I do not dress my cat up. I never understood why people pay money for pet costumes. Or why an animal e filing needs a Sunday sweater, bow-tie or hat. My sister (History By Zim’s #1 Cheerleader) has a dog. She dresses Spencer (her dog) up whenever she can. Usually I roll my eyes and chuckle when she texts me a photo of said dog in random costumes.
The only exception to all of this is Halloween. And ONLY if they are dressed up as historical people. If you recall, last Halloween I posted about his WWII costume. This year my sister again went with a historic theme. . . .
Spencer went as none other than one of the Founding Fathers himself – e filing Benjamin Franklin. With his hat, wig, frilly outfit, kite and key, Spencer won first place among about 100 other costumed animals at a local pet Halloween party. Now THIS is the kind of pet costumes I can stand behind! If you like dogs, blogs about dogs or cute dog blog photos (say that 10 times fast…), check out Spencer’s very own blog !
